Sophia Rahmani
Sophia joined Magellan in May 2024 as Managing Director of Magellan Asset Management. In March 2025 Sophia was appointed CEO and Managing Director of Magellan Financial Group.
Sophia has over 20 years’ experience in financial services with a focus on leading and growing asset management businesses within Australia and globally. Most recently, Sophia was the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Maple-Brown Abbott from October 2019 to March 2024, where she spearheaded the firm’s growth in investment capabilities, offerings, services and distribution channels. Prior to this, Sophia was the Chief Operating Officer, Pan Asia, for Janus Henderson Investors based in Singapore, having previously been with Henderson Global Investors as Chief Operating Officer, Australia, from 2013 where she was a key member of the team responsible for establishing and growing the business in Australia.
Sophia also spent eight years with the Macquarie Group, principally in its asset management division, with experience across strategy, mergers and acquisitions, product and marketing. During this period, she spent time based in Sydney, New York and Philadelphia. Sophia started her career as a solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons. Sophia holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting and Finance) from The Australian National University. She also holds a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investments and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Jen Driscoll
Jen Driscoll joined Magellan in January 2025 as the Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Magellan, Jen worked at AllianceBernstein (AB) for nearly 25 years in New York, London and Sydney.
Jen served as the Chief Executive Officer for AB Australia in Sydney from December 2013 to April 2024, where she was responsible for execution of the strategic priorities for the local Australian business and compliance with governance and corporate policies. Jen also oversaw members of the Asia ex Japan Institutional Client Group and partnered with the AxJ CEO on resourcing needs, financials, and talent retention and development of the AxJ Client Group. Prior to her appointment as CEO, Jen served as Co-Head of AB’s Global Client Service & Business Operations team having joined AB in 1997 as a Client Relations Associate.
Jen holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors in economics and political science from Fordham University (New York).

Dean McGuire
Dean McGuire joined Magellan in 2025 as Chief Financial Officer.
Dean has broad experience in financial management, capital management, financial planning and analysis, investment management, corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, strategy, and technology.
Prior to joining Magellan, Dean worked at the GPT Group for 13 years, most recently as Interim CFO and was Deputy CFO since 2018. Before joining GPT, Dean worked in real estate investment banking at NAB.
Dean holds a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Wollongong. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Sam Mosse
Sam joined Magellan in 2025 as Chief Risk Officer and has over twenty-eight years of experience in the financial services industry, specialising in risk, governance, compliance, and operations.
Prior to joining Magellan, Sam was Chief Risk Officer at PPT for nearly six years and spent five and a half years at Janus Henderson as Head of Risk and Compliance for Asia Pacific, including a year as acting Global Head of Enterprise Risk and two years as Head of Operations, Australia. Sam began her career with a 17-year tenure at Macquarie, holding various roles, including Global Head of Risk and Compliance for the Macquarie Funds Group.
Sam is a Chartered Accountant, has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mark Burgess
Mark joined Magellan in 2010 as Head of Research Relationships and Key Account Manager and was promoted in July 2023 to Head of Distribution, Asia Pacific. Mark is responsible for wholesale distribution Australia and New Zealand, institutional distribution Asia Pacific and marketing.
Before that, Mark spent two years at Zurich Investments as a key account manager and head of research, having previously held distribution roles over five years at Challenger Financial Services including state manager of NSW
and head of research relationships. Mark has also worked in distribution at Colonial First State and at BT Funds Management.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Wollongong and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance.

Melissa Pascoe
Melissa joined Magellan in April 2023 as Head of Human Resources and is a member of Magellan’s Executive Committee.
Prior to this Melissa was the Head of People and Culture for Nuix Limited, where she was part of their leadership team. Before joining Nuix, Melissa spent over 22 years with Macquarie Group Limited in various senior HR business aligned roles supporting both front office and infrastructure business lines globally. Melissa commenced her career as at KPMG as an Accountant.
Melissa is a Chartered Accountant, completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration.

Emma Pringle
Emma joined Magellan in 2025.
Emma has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, most recently at Maple-Brown Abbott as Head of ESG and Portfolio Manager. Prior to Maple-Brown Abbott, Emma worked at BT as Head of Customer Governance and Sustainability where she had responsibility for the organisation’s product governance and sustainability functions across superannuation, investments, and insurance. Prior to this, Emma has held strategy and operations roles in financial services and technology organisations in Sydney and London and has experience across the asset owner, corporate and investor pillars of the investments value chain.
Emma holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney and a Master of International Communication from Macquarie University.
